Always, if i create a bear, its everytime the same. I cut the mohair, sews together the parts, stuff it, pull in the eyes...
The work and the Little dipper, that orginate there, become indipendent and gets his own charakter.
Often, i had planned something diffrent. There a dear bear
turned into a small prankster, once they become merrily, once sad, bearsouls simply are so...
That is the unique one if one manufactures a bear.
That something so loveable cab be created of a piece of mohair. A friend, way- companios, one piece intakt world.
Childhood-memories are aroused if you see a bear into the eyes. Some look so sad that they like to take them into youre arms and would comfort.
I like happy Bears. Bears, who cheer you up, to smilling bring if the world looks also very grey.
Therefore, i make my Lucky-Bears, in the hope to bring a little more happiness into the world.

Since 1999, I am infected with the bear-virus. My first bear was a little Punk named Bärti. It was so cute and little by little even further bears came into my collection until I had a heavy car accident in May 2000 and spent severel month in the hospital. Since then, I am disabled. The bears helped me over this hard time and gave me the feeling to still be able to achieve something. At beginning, I worked according to the instructions in the bear magazines, what became too boring for me soon and so I create my own teddy-patterns and found my own style.

I use only high- quality materials, preferentially educated Schulte longsparsemohair, alpaka or high quality plush.
Also synthetik-fur for nature bears. A perfect processing is very importend for me. All my bears are fully jointed and came from a smokeless household. They are sewn by hand doubly.
Every bear is one of a kind Artistbear and are delivered with certificate, photos, proberty certificate and a little surprise.

Hi Everyone :)
The purpose of this guide is to explain what an Artist Teddy Bear is. An artist made bear differs greatly from those that are mass manufactured with the largest difference being that Most Artist Bears are "One of a Kind" or limited to a very small Edition size and each bears is created by the artist themselves. The length of time it takes an individual artist to design and finish a bear, coupled with the fact that they're "one of a kind" or a very small edition, tends to make these bears more costly and very collectible.
As I mentioned before, alot of time, care and attention goes into creating a quality artist bear, a bear that has both heart and soul, and looks as though it could stand up and walk off. Now, I can't speak for all Teddy Bear Artists but my bears start with a thought that transfers to a sketch. From the sketch, a pattern is created, bringing my thought closer to becoming the teddy bear I'd envisioned. The next step is putting the pattern on whatever special fur, whether it be Schulte Mohair, Imported Synthetic or Faux Fur or even reclaimed real fur. Now the real fun begins...hand sewing the pieces together, adding stuffing and watching flat pieces of fur being transformed into a cuddly teddy bear. I always save the making of the head for last because this is where the true heart of the bear is revealed. Not knowing whether you'll get a boy or girl or a sweet or serious bear until the very last stitch. So much time and heart goes into creating an artist teddy bear and the end result is so worth the wait, don't you think?
